The weight rating on your gas strut # 372-5300-20 would normally be printed in LBS or NM somewhere on the strut however since your strut's labels have worn off then your best bet is to measure for a new one.
In general, the length to choose for gas struts is about 55% of the height of the hatch or door you are trying to keep open. So, if you have a door that is 1000mm (39") in height a 550mm (19.7") long gas strut would be about right. Basically, you'd take half the door height plus a... view full answer...
The Solera Gas Strut 26", 124 lbs for Short and Flat Awning Arms # LC280343 attaches between awning arms via pins, which go through the opening on the two ends of the strut. According to the manufacturer, the openings on the strut are 3/8", as you can see in the accompanying photo. view full answer...
The Solera Gas Strut, 124 to 144 lbs for Pitched Awning Arms # LC260282 is likely exactly what you need. To compress it to fit the holes, I recommend attaching one end of the strut and that will allow you the leverage to start to compress the strut so it can fit the other attachment location. view full answer...
I did some checking and it appears that the gas strut # LC260282 is held to the support arms with bolts, pins, or rivets that go through the eyelets at each end, see picture. It does not appear that the strut unscrews from those eyelets. The manufacturer was unable to provide a comprehensive method for replacement. view full answer...
I do have a suggestion, because we have a gas strut with with dimensions that are the same as the Stabilus 654150 which is likely to work; the Stabilus strut measures 26.46" when extended with 120 lbs of force.
The nearly identical strut we offer is the Solera Gas Strut for Short and Flat Awning Arms # LC280343.
The Solera strut also measures 26.46" when extended, as well as 15.04" when retracted, while exerting 124 lbs of force. So long as you can verify your strut has the same dimensions... view full answer...
I reached out to the manufacturer who told me there isn't any type of recommended way to remove the starlock washer on the Solera Gas Strut # LC260282 but that "most people shim something behind, hit and tap it with a screwdriver to pry it open/loose."
I was told that doing this should allow the washer to come off pretty easily. view full answer...
To remove the current gas strut on your UWS toolbox you will simply need to take a flathead screwdriver and pop the clip on either head. This will allow you to pull the strut right off. Once the strut is removed you just have to push the ends of the Replacement Lift Cylinder # UWSLIFTCYLIND onto the mounting points until they pop into place. I confirmed this with my contact at UWS. view full answer...
Though I'm not familiar with the strut you are referring to on your 2018 Cyclone, it seems likely you are going to need to relocate it to install the SolidStep Manual Fold-Down Steps # LC791575. If you take a look at the cutout I have added of the installation manual for these steps you can see that the step needs to be mounted flush to the floor and sidewall at the door's opening. view full answer...
If you are wanting to install the MORryde StepAbove RV Steps # MR98RR you would need to remove the shock rod/gas strut because it will interfere with the step clearance. You can use the Replacement Controlled Motion Hinge for RV Entry Door # LC95VR (black) or # LC22NJ (white) on your RV door which uses Controlled Motion Technology to hold the door open in any position instead of allowing the door to swing freely. This will work with Lippert RV doors as an alternative to a shock rod/gas strut. view full answer...

There is some assembly required on the Roadmaster Tow Defender Protective Screening # RM-4750, but it is not difficult. There are 8 bolts, 4 nuts, and 2 washers in the hardware kit. You'll be attaching the rods and the gas struts after sliding the screen into place. It is a quick assembly with a couple wrenches or ratchets. I've attached the instructions for you to look at. It is a few minutes of assembly to add a great protection to your vehicle. view full answer...

There are no trunk mounted bike racks that would allow you to open the hatch with the rack in place. Having the rack in place would add additional weight that the gas struts that hold the hatch open might not be rated for. The extra weight could cause the hatch to unexpectedly slam shut, likely causing injury. Also, shutting the hatch with the rack in place can damage the painted surface of the hatch or the rear glass.
Since the rack needs to be removed to access the hatch, using a rack... view full answer...
You should not open the rear hatch of a vehicle with a trunk mounted bike rack installed. The gas struts that assist opening the hatch and hold it open are only rated for a certain amount of weight, usually not much more than the weight of the hatch itself. The extra weight of the rack can cause the hatch to close unexpectedly. Secondly, the movement of the rack on the vehicle while the hatch is opened and closed can damage the vehicle. Finally, opening the rear hatch will affect the fit... view full answer...
I have the following instructions for Awning Fabric Removal:
1. Remove the drip cap (if equipped) from the end the fabric will be removed from.
2. Extend the awning out approximately 12" and insert cotter pins through both end caps into the shafts on the head assemblies. Note: If the awning is 6' in length it will only need one cotter pin for the drive side end cap.
3. Secure both support arm assemblies by running a zip tie around the outer arm and around the pin on the top of the mount... view full answer...
